StereoHype is the first event of its kind to promote the wellbeing of African and Caribbean communities through art, performance and debate.
Launched in London in 2013 at Stratford Circus, the two day festival features attracts over 1000 people to attend workshops on health and wellbeing, talks on creative writing and poetry, art stalls, DJs and dance performances, along with an evening programme of panel debates, theatre performances and bands. Words of Colour is the digital and communications delivery partner on the project.
Former star footballers Stan Collymore and Paul Canoville, Boxer Herol Graham, 1Xtra rising star Call Me Unique and comedian John Simmit are just some of the public figures who have appeared at and supported the event.
StereoHype programmes regular events at The Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) in Birmingham, its venue partner, including the forthcoming StereoHype Festival on 6 October 2018.
