Annette Brook, playwright and education charity First Story’s Communications and Marketing Manager, has joined Words of Colour’s Steering Advisory Group.
Brook, who has also worked at Spread the Word, the Royal Society of Literature and Theatre Peckham, said: “I’ve admired Words of Colour’s work for a long time.Their steady commitment to ensuring creatives and communities of colour thrive and to shining a light on unheard stories has always impressed me. As a Steering Advisory Group member, I’m looking forward to supporting the team, specifically with communications, as they enter a new exciting chapter.”
She is an alumnus of the Royal Court Young Writers’ Programme and the Royal Court Invitation Group, and in 2015-16 was a Jerwood/Arvon mentee.
