No Room at the Table Debate
On Thursday 1st March 2012 Words of Colour Productions and English PEN hosted No Room at the Table – Making inclusion a reality for Black British writers as part of the Free Speech Cafe. Award-winning author Courttia Newland and English PEN’s former director Jonathan Heawood tackled questions from a capacity audience on topics such as the barriers facing Black British writers and the lack of diversity at literature festivals.
