We are very excited to announce that Joy Francis, our Executive Director, is a judge at this year’s British Book Awards!
The British Book Awards, aka The Nibbies, represent the best of the book trade, showcasing the books, bookshops, agents and publishers who make this industry shine.
Joy will be judging the Trade Awards, covering Children’s Bookseller of the Year / Independent Bookshop of the Year / Book Retailer of the Year / Individual Bookseller of the Year / Marketing Strategy of the Year / Publicity Campaign of the Year / Designer of the Year / The British Book Award for Export.
Joy said: ‘It’s an honour to be a judge for the Trade Awards at this year’s British Book Awards (Nibbies). After facing another challenging year, I’m hoping to see signs of boldness and originality, a creative connection to their target audience and a considered expression of cultural inclusion.’
This year’s celebrations will return to Central London on 23rd May 2022 alongside an online ceremony for those who cannot attend in person. Entries are currently open for the Nibbies and close Thursday 3rd February.
