Maame will take you through close readings of acclaimed contemporary romance novels and intensive writing exercises that will help you better understand the genre, write great characters, and create your own piece of romantic fiction.

‘How to Write Complicated Relationships with Maame Blue’ takes place online Saturday 12th March and Sunday 13th March 2022, 3pm – 5pm on both days.

This masterclass also includes a creative writing assignment; there will be an opportunity to submit this assignment to Maame for feedback at the end of Day Two.

About Maame Blue

Maame Blue is a Ghanaian-Londoner and author of Bad Love, which won the 2021 Betty Trask award, and was shortlisted for the Betty Trask Prize. Her short story ‘Howl’ was featured in the New Australian Fiction 2020 anthology, and her story ‘Prodigal’ appears in the Speaking Volumes Anthology Not Quite Right For Us. Her writing has appeared in various places including Writers Mosaic, Black Ballad, and Litro Magazine, and she is cautiously working on her second novel.
