Synergi-Leeds, a Words of Colour partner, won the Legacy Award 2022 for Health and Wellbeing for its impactful work towards reducing ethnic inequalities in mental health using creative methods to engage a range of constituencies from community level to system leaders.
Joy Francis, Synergi Collaborative Centre’s founding Co-Director and Words of Colour’s Executive Director said: “I’m incredibly proud to be part of Synergi-Leeds and to have collaborated and co-produced with them throughout the pandemic to ensure the narratives of those with lived experience were amplified. The award was a wonderful surprise and will be built upon to leave a lasting legacy.”
Hosted at a star-studded ceremony at New Dock Hall, Leeds, the Legacy Awards celebrates excellence in historic and present-day achievements from and for those within ethnic communities.
