Valentine’s Black Love Food Special with Julius Monero

Julius is a proud husband and father of three children. He is the director of Rainbow Bakery Dalston, in Hackney, London, and has been leading the business for over 17 years, since the age of 23.

During this time he has witnessed many changes in the business landscape and market, notably recessions and boom periods. Julius has managed to evolve this family business, handed down to him by his father, in both its operation and methods, at times with the feeling of dragging it kicking and screaming into the modern day.

Julius says: “It has been a challenge, but the most satisfying part has been the protection and promotion of the legacy that is the hard work and pride of my parents.”
